We recently returned from a long weekend in central Oregon. We’ve been planning this mini vacation for months, and it was fun to have it finally arrive. We woke up early on Thursday, and drove over to Sunriver. The first big excitement of the day was having Elias sit in a forward facing car seat for the fist time. He is not quite two yet, but we decided to let him turn around a little early because we have a lot of long car trips coming up in the next couple of weekends. The drive took just barely over three and a half hours (a record for us….especially with a toddler and a pregnant lady).
Once we got there and settled in, we decided to head straight for the pool. They have a new pool complex
in Sunriver with a zero entry pool. Elias loved walking, splashing, swimming, and crawling around in there. It was perfect!
Then, we spent some time at the village mall and Elias got to ride the choo-choo train. He loved riding the train, and after it was over, he tried to stow away for another ride.
We also made an obligatory stop at Goodies. Elias got to try a chocolate covered pretzel. He liked it…but made a mess everywhere!
Grandpa and Grandma Bartle (aka Baba and Ahma) arrived shortly before bed time so he was delighted to have extra love and attention. More pictures:
