Simon – Two Weeks

Simon at two weeks.

Simon at two weeks.

Simon is two weeks old today. In some ways it seems way shorter than that…and sometimes I can’t believe it’s only been two weeks. So far, Simon is a very healthy and happy boy. He has brought us much joy. My only complaint is that he eats very often…even at night…but that is to be expected, and only lasts so long. It just feels longer while you are going through it!

Here’s a humorous conversation from our morning:

Nathan: “Hey…it’s gone.”

Me: “His umbilical cord?”

Nathan: “Yeah.”

Nathan: (a minute or so later) “I guess we have to keep him.”

Me: “What’s that supposed to mean?”

Nathan: “It’s like his tag fell off.”

Maybe I’m just too tired and it’s not really funny. But I’m glad we don’t have to deal with the cord anymore!

In other news…we finally captured our first family photo. It’s not the best. But it’s life as it is right now for us.
