Simon is alarmingly mobile. Tomorrow he’ll be five months old. He can’t sit up yet. But he can roll over in both directions and scoots himself slowly across the floor. Usually he moves backwards, but occasionally he is able to scoot himself forward as well.
This afternoon I put Simon on the floor to play while I made myself and Elias lunch. When I brought the plates to the table, Simon was quite far from where I had put him. I took this picture from the spot I had set him down. Look how far he made it (you can even see his little trail of toys):
Here he is saying, “Look what I did, Mom!”
This boy gets into everything. He reaches for all of Elias’ toys…even the ones that are not safe for him. He reaches for food….he once spilled my cereal bowl three times in one morning. He’s growing up too fast!
