Enjoying Autumn

We have taken the time to enjoy some autumn activities the last couple of days. Yesterday, we focused on pumpkins. Elias enjoyed helping to scoop out the innards, but he didn’t want to touch them so we had to get a really long handled spoon. I did not let Simon near the pumpkin…he would have tried to eat it. But that didn’t stop him from having fun. We carved one pumpkin, and left the rest for the weekend!

Today we had fun with friends in the morning, but I just had to get the boys outside in the afternoon after naps. We’ve got to enjoy this beautiful weather as much as possible. Elias wanted to do an art project so I told him we were going to go outside and collect some leaves for our art project. Once I got him out there, he had the time of his life. He didn’t want to come in! I let him lead the way on our “leaf hunt.” We found a ton of leaves for him to play in. He loved sitting in them, kicking them, and throwing them up in the air. I let Simon down to play in them as well.
