It’s been almost a week ago now, but we went to see the zoo lights again earlier this week. This time, we went with Ama and Baba to enjoy the view. It was a great night. Warm for winter standards and no rain. It was very very crowded, though so the boys and I had to end up riding the shuttle which delayed the start of our excursion by an hour or so. I started out sufficiently grumpy, but when I saw the boys’ joy at all the lights, my mood turned pretty quickly.
When we went earlier this season, it was pouring rain and although the train ride was fun, we were miserable, and left before we really saw any lights. This time we saw all of the lights! I think their favorite was the light tunnel, though.

I always love the trees. I wanted to do this to the tree out in front of our house, but we didn’t want to risk stringing an extension cord across the sidewalk.
When we had seen all the lights, we went to Ama and Baba’s for warm home made soup. A wonderful evening!
