After a fun morning at church, and a relaxing afternoon while Elias napped (I have the best husband ever who went grocery shopping so I didn’t have to!), I had quite a busy evening.
I cooked a triple batch of Baked Italian Ziti with Sausage…that’s enough to feed 24 people! Then to top it off I baked cookies as well. This doesn’t include the time we spent eating dinner, or the time I spent cleaning up after all the mess in the kitchen (Nathan helped with the cleaning too), or the time I spent reading to/playing with Elias.
I’ve joined a group called Meals for Members at my church which provides meals to people in need. Tomorrow I will drop off the first one. It is quite a large family so I have frozen lots and lots of ziti for them.
And just because I like pictures….here is one batch of the ziti in the process of being cooked. This was my favorite part because it smelled very good to my pregnant nose.
Here is one of three finished products…ready for the freezer!
