Baba

Elias has officially named Grandpa Bartle. We were wondering if he would come up with a way to shorten Grandma or Grandpa soon. In the last couple of days Elias has been referring to Grandpa Bartle as “baba.” When he sees him, he points and says “baba.” When we show him grandpa’s picture he says “baba.” I think it is his way of saying “papa.” It’s pretty cute, and it’s causing some jealousy for other grandparents who would also like to be called by name (or by a made up name). Watching Elias’ language stills develop has been really fun so far. I’ll be curious to see if “baba” sticks or changes.
